Seurasaari Open-Air Museum is a place for visitors of all ages. When you arrive on the island, you are immediately transported to a rural landscape from the olden days, far away from the hustle and bustle of urban life.
Take a peek at life in days of yore in smoke cabins, crofts and manors, participate in a guided tour, have a closer look at the renovated parsonage and its garden, and immerse yourself in history with a hands-on approach.
You can also sample some treats in the museum café and pay a visit to the renovated museum shop, where you will find unique products that convey the atmosphere of the museum. All of the buildings in the Open-Air Museum have been brought in from various parts of the country – there is good reason to call Seurasaari ‘rural Finland in miniature.’

The Ehrensvärd Museum is located on the original central courtyard of the fortress in the Commander’s House. The first occupant of the building was Augustin Ehrensvärd (1710-1772), the founder of the Suomenlinna fortress. The Ehrensvärd Museum’s collection includes paintings, furniture, weapons and ship models.

The Rock Church, or Temppeliaukio Church, is one of Helsinki's most unique architectural landmarks. Carved directly into solid granite, the church features a stunning copper dome that creates an impressive and serene atmosphere inside. Completed in 1969, the design by architect brothers Timo and Tuomo Suomalainen blends modern aesthetics with natural elements, making it a popular attraction for both tourists and locals. The interior is known for its excellent acoustics, making it a favored venue for concerts and events. Located in the Töölö district, the Rock Church is a must-visit site that showcases Helsinki's innovative approach to design and architecture.
From Stop 14, use the walkway toward the Tradesmen sculpture, the ceramic relief on the facade of the Helsinki School of Economics and Business Administration. Cross the street at the traffic light toward the hill. If you don't have the CityPass, you can still enjoy the view from the outside.

From Stop 2 on the Hop On Hop Off bus, you can easily catch a ferry to Korkeasaari Zoo with JT Line. After hopping off the bus, head towards the Market Square (Kauppatori), where the JT Line ferry departs. The ferry terminal is just a short walk away from Stop 2. Look for the signs for Korkeasaari or JT Line, and you’ll find the ferry dock. Enjoy a scenic boat ride through the Helsinki archipelago, arriving directly at Korkeasaari Zoo. Remember to check the ferry schedule in advance for the most convenient departure times!

Hop off at Stop 2 (Market Square) on the Hop On Hop Off bus.

At Market Square, find the red-colored flags at the pier. The Helsinki Sightseeing Cruise departs from the area between these flags.
Show you CityPass and board the boat. The journey typically takes about 1.5 hours, and the boat ride offers lovely views of the Helsinki archipelago.

Kohta is a privately initiated kunsthalle in Helsinki that presents uncompromising contemporary art in all its forms. Kohta’s curated public programme of exhibitions and events aims to consistently reflect the complexity and capacity of visual art today and its futures-oriented potential.
Kohta brings together contemporary artists from Finland and the rest of the world in curated solo and group exhibitions. Our mission is to feature artistic thinking in its many forms and showcase artists from different generations and media. In addition to the exhibition programme Kohta organises events, such as screenings and talks, with the aim to create fruitful dialogue around and about contemporary art and connect the dots between different art forms.
Kohta is located at Teurastamo, the old abattoir yard and Helsinki city wholesale market area in the Helsinki neighbourhood of Kalasatama. Kohta’s exhibition space is on the top floor of a 1980s industrial building.
When approaching from Työpajankatu, enter Teurastamo through the Teurastamo gate (Teurastamon portti ) and you will find Kohta on your right when entering the gate, neighboring Sonepar and Merilux.

On a memorable Espoo archipelago sightseeing cruise, the wonderful scenery of the beautiful Suvisaaristo is enjoyed in a relaxed maritime atmosphere. Fascinating historical stories are heard while cruising all the way to the waters of the beautiful Suvisaaristo, once favoured also by smugglers. Day cruise lasts 1h 45min and evening cruise 2h 30min. Onboard cafe-bar serves snacks and refreshing beverages.
Depart from Espoo's Nokkala harbor (Nokkalanniemi 2, Espoo). You can take a metro to Iso Omena station in Matinkylä, and then take a bus to Nokkala bus station.
The cruise only operates in the summer. Remember to check the departure schedule online in advance for the most convenient departure times!

The Uspenski Cathedral completed in 1868 in the Katajanokka district of Helsinki. With its golden cupolas and redbrick facade, the church is one of the clearest symbols of the Russian impact on Finnish history.
From Stop 2 Hop On Hop Off Bus, you can see the stunning view of the church and head toward the Market Square. Beware of the cycling path, please use the pedestrian path for your safety.

The world famous composer Jean Sibelius' (1865-1957) monument by Eila Hiltunen is located at the Sibelius park. The monument is one of Helsinki's most popular statues and one of the most well-known tourist attractions.

Hvitträsk is a jewel of national romantic architecture designed by architects Gesellius, Lindgren and Saarinen down to the smallest detail.
The trio fell in love with the landscape of Lake Vitträsk and built a studio home in the natural romantic style out of logs and natural stone. Hvitträsk, completed in 1903, is a unique, comprehensive work of art that attracts design and architecture enthusiasts from Finland and abroad each year.
Experience the atmosphere of the studio home, the workplace of the young architects. Admire the Liekki tapestry designed by Akseli Gallen-Kallela in the Hvitträsk house. Walking or enjoying a break in the Hvitträsk garden is an essential part of the museum experience. A container café is open in the summer in the garden. The museum also arranges exhibitions, concerts and various other events.Listen to the fascinating stories of the architect trio’s lives and famous guests on our guided tours. Open tours are held daily from Wednesday to Sunday in Finnish, Swedish and English. You can also book a private tour for yourself, a group of friends or any other type of group.
Hvitträsk is open in the summer and closed for the winter. Hvitträsk is open from Wednesday to Sunday between May and the end of September.
