Completed in 1912, this granite masterpiece of National Romantic architecture is known for its grand organ and beautiful interior – the church is both a cultural treasure and an active place of worship. Enjoy the music: students from the Sibelius Academy (University of the Arts Helsinki) often practice in the church, and free organ concerts are also frequently held there.
The tower rises 64 meters above ground level and 95 meters above sea level. The tower has seven bronze bells, cast in Germany, which play a tune composed by Jean Sibelius daily at 12 noon and 6 pm. From the top of the tower, you can enjoy views in all four cardinal directions. Welcome!
